Although the completely refurbished back nine holes - formerly part of the 27-hole Laguna Course - had been completed in their original configuration a decade before.
The refurbishment and the totally new outward half were both designed by renowned golf architects, Hawtree Limited.

Although the Millennium has some of the tightest holes in the Algarve, there are very few tricky situations. Maybe the exception is the par 3 on hole 6, where the lake to the left of the fairway waits for any straying shots.
The difficulties are real enough but never impossible to get around and therefore suits golfers of all abilities. |
